"Information technology'due south On Over again" is a vocal past American recording artist Alicia Keys, featuring American rapper Kendrick Lamar. The song was written for the 2014 motion-picture show The Amazing Spider-Human being two by Keys and Lamar in collaboration with Hans Zimmer, who scored the motion picture, and producer Pharrell Williams,[ane] "It's On Again" was released on March 31, 2014 as the pb single from the Amazing Spider-Man 2 soundtrack.

The music video of "Information technology's On Again" was released on Apr 14, 2014 on Vevo and was directed by Rich Lee. It features appearances from Alicia Keys, Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell Williams, and Hans Zimmer and footage of the film.

Release [edit]

On March 12, 2014, Columbia Records issued a printing release announcing that "Information technology's On Again" would be included on the soundtrack for The Astonishing Spider-Man two (2014) and serve as the closing song for the movie.[ii] The release included a argument from director Marc Webb, who described the procedure of selecting "a song that would be upbeat and exciting, but also contain a note of foreboding" to serve every bit the film'south closing theme and praised "It's On Again" as the "perfect end notation."[2] Keys also expressed her excitement at working with Kendrick Lamar, producer Pharrell Williams and film composer Hans Zimmer, the latter of whom scores the film.[two] On March 31, "Information technology'southward On Again" was uploaded to Keys' official SoundCloud page[3] and impacted mainstream urban radio in the U.s..[4] The following day, information technology was released digitally as a unmarried.[5]

Live performances [edit]

The songs was performed for the beginning fourth dimension on television on The This evening Show with Jimmy Fallon.[6] The song was too performed at the film's premiere concert in New York Metropolis.[7]

Commercial performance [edit]

"It's On Again" debuted on the Billboard Adult R&B Songs and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay charts at numbers 17 and xl respectively on the chart calendar week ending Apr nineteen, 2014.[8]
