- 701.21. Tap and Untap
- 701.21a To tap a permanent, plough information technology sideways from an upright position. Only untapped permanents can be tapped.

The ability to untap creatures is primary in green and blue and secondary in white.[i] Untapping creatures used to be white's domain, simply R&D has moved individual beast untapping off to green to requite it more creature answers. - 107.6. The untap symbol is {Q}. The untap symbol in an activation cost ways "Untap this permanent." A permanent that'south already untapped can't be untapped again to pay the price.
